Lafayette Parish Court Docket is not a court office. Official docket, setting, and copy questions belong with the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court or the court that owns the matter. The correct contact path depends on whether the file is district, city, municipal, or Justice of the Peace court.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. This private reference resource cannot retrieve dockets, change settings, remove or seal cases, issue certified copies, or give legal advice. Those services belong to the Clerk or the court that owns the file.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Use the court named on the summons, notice, or case record before choosing a records route. These are the common Lafayette Parish paths:

  • A 15th JDC docket or case history: use the Clerk’s current online-record route or request the file from the Parish Clerk
  • A 15th JDC hearing setting: check the court calendar and then confirm the current case-specific setting with the division or Clerk
  • A certified copy: ask the records department for a certified copy, identify the case and document, and request a current fee quote
  • A Lafayette City Court case: use the City Court’s own Case Search or contact the Convent Street court rather than assuming it is a parish district file
  • A municipal or Justice of the Peace matter: contact the municipal clerk, magistrate channel, or appropriate ward office that owns that lower-court record

For state-district dockets and records, contact the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court, 800 S. Buchanan Street, Lafayette, LA 70501; mailing address P.O. Box 2009, Lafayette, LA 70502. Civil Records: (337) 291-6303. Criminal Records: (337) 291-6329. Traffic: (337) 291-6370. The Clerk’s department directory lists other record-specific lines. A city, municipal, or JP matter may need a different custodian.
